Rouxpour | Another Chic Adventure

So I’m new here in Houston and you guys know I’m a foodie (if you don’t know, now you know( Biggie voice)) so I’m going to be trying a lot of restaurants. First and foremost, let me just put it out there, ain’t no food better than Louisiana food; my home. But there is good food everywhere. There are lot of restaurants I want to try and I’m starting in Houston.

I’ve actually already started. This probably my fourth or fifth new restaurant. My mom came down for the girls’ birthdays and in some down time we decided to try The Rouxpour. It’s a New Orleans inspired restaurant and focuses on Louisiana’s famous dishes. Now I’m not the type of Louisianian to eat “restaurant gumbo” or “restaurant red beans” so that I didn’t get. We tried the Bienville oysters, crawfish bisque soup, crab fingers, filet mignon with lobster tail, potatoes, and asparagus. Everything was really good!! I can’t even give you a favorite. You will have to go try for yourself.
