Mar 1 Masraff’s

So of course, I’m new to Houston, TX and of course (if you can’t tell by now) I’m a foodie lol. To every new restaurant I go, here you can find a new blog.

We, my husband and I, celebrated our 10th anniversary at Masraff’s after it was highly recommended. We started off with a couple cocktails and appetizers. For starters we had king crab legs with butter over ice … I wouldn’t recommend these just because I’m not used to eating cold seafood so it was not my favorite.

For our entree, I had the filet mignon with lump crab meat topping. My husband had the filet as well but with the bone. We shared both of the sides we ordered which were asparagus and lobster grits. I’d recommend ALL of this. Everything was so good. I’m not a “shrimp and grits” kinda girl but I enjoyed the lobster grits.

Finally, for dessert we ventured into trying something different. I ordered the peanut butter and jelly donuts which were really like fried dough coated with cinnamon sugar with a peanut butter mousse and some sort of jelly on the side. It wasn’t bad but the “Banana Crisp” (his dessert) was MUCH BETTER! We were leery about it at first because of it’s name and description but they definitely proved us wrong. I would definitely get it again.
