Hubby's Birthday Dinner

There’s nothing to do and nowhere to go during this pandemic. That’s what I kept telling myself as I was trying to plan Tracy’s (my husband) birthday. He didn’t want to do anything anyway but I wasn't going to just sit and do nothing for his birthday. I love birthdays and I love having fun. Every year when you've reached another birthday, you should celebrate your life because life is short. It’s an accomplishment. That's how I look at it. So I brainstormed and decided to take him to Pensacola. Why Pensacola? Because we were feeling “beachy” and it’s not far from Baton Rouge. Also, there's a restaurant there that Tracy loves so it was the perfect idea.

We took off Friday morning with some of our friends (2 other couples) and about 5 hours later we made it to our Airbnb. Such a cute place hosted by an older couple. It was an older home that was added to and renovated. We were the firsts to rent. We couldn’t do much because of Covid obviously so most of the time there we stayed in our newly renovated cottage drinking English tea and dunking bicuits ……. 😂 I kid I kid. We went to the store (with our masks on) and racked up on drinks 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Saturday, we hung out at the beach eating, drinking, and socially distancing ourselves from others. We did some jet skiing and other things. I made reservations at The Grand Marlin for 9:00 pm for his birthday dinner. EVERYTHING we had was so good. For the appetizers we had the crispy lobster fingers and the bbq oysters. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. If you know me, you know I like to eat 😩😂. For my entree, I had the “Loved and Rubbed Scottish Salmon”. It may sound nasty but it tasted like God made it himself. Too far??😂 I frowned at the name and description too but it’s a best seller so I decide to try it. Glad I did! We ended the night with cake and a Happy Birthday song!

I didn’t go shopping like I usually do. I have not been shopping since Covid started. I haven’t even shopped online. So I just wore something I already had. I wore high-waisted leopard skirt from Touch Dolls paired with a white crop top from Naked Wardrobe. My shoes came from Fashion Nova. My friend had 2 new pairs and gave me one. Thanks boo!!
