Nov 8 Surprise Birthday Trip to Tampa

August 25, 2018 I made 32 years old. A week before my actual birthday my husband told me to pack my bags because we were going on a weekend getaway. Even though I don’t show my excitement, I was GEEKED! I had so many questions running through my mind like “What do I pack?”, “Where are my kids going to be?”, “Are they going to cry for me?”, “Where are we goin?”. BUT I didn’t ask anything. I just went with the flow. Tracy had EVERYTHING planned out 😍. Naturally, when we left I cried because I have separation anxiety when I’m away from my kids. I didn’t let Tracy see me cry though 😂. So we get to the airport and get checked in right? The man working there says “Going to Tampa?”. I looked at Tracy and I was like awww Tampa?? 😳 But inside I was like .. 🤯😝😍😊🤪🤗.

Backstory on Tampa: Why was I so excited and shocked? I use to live in Tampa from age 19- 21 I think .. something like that … with my family and my aunt (who was 9 years older than me ) came too. My aunt and I got an apartment together and PARTIED our lives away. From Thursday to Tuesday we were at somebody’s club. Wednesday we took a break 😂. So Tracy and I were always on the phone talking; so he knew how much I went out. He did not like it 😂😂😂. Baby I didn’t care, I was living my best life. At least that’s what I thought at the time. So when he surprised me with a trip to Tampa for my bday, I was so surprised and happy. He had already spoken to my Tampa friends and they popped up at our hotel room. I was surprised again lol. Shortly after that, we got another knock at the door. He had flew a couple of our friends from home in too!! It was time to TURN UP!!! And booooy did we turn up. The whole weekend. Now I’m traumatized and scared to drink …. I still drink though 😂.

Of course I didn’t have any time to go shopping before the trip so I threw what I had in my closet in my suitcase. Everything was planned out so I didn’t have much time to shop. Tracy and I did go shopping though. My top is from Express. Didn’t care for the top too much once I put it on. Jeans are my faves … the high-rise Levis 🤦🏽‍♀️. And I put my blue booties from Aldo and they went great with my nails. But who doesn’t love the red and blue contrast?? LOVE IT!

I didn’t get any cute pics from Saturday night. I don’t even want to talk about Saturday night 😩. Have you ever had to pack at the last minute for a fun weekend? What did you pack?
